Default New to this - Detector Tools Pro won't update the 360c

I have the 360c hooked up and such. I bought the cable connector to go to my PC. I registered the device on their website, downloaded Detector Tools Pro, and it says it's connected (with the proper serial number shown).
However, if I try to "merge your data with the latest ESCORT Defender database", it just says "Defender Database Update Failed to Complete!" If I try update all software, the same error. If I try the "Update your detector with the latest software from ESCORT", I get a large exception error saying Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I have attached said error.

My internet is functioning. I have a stable connection (fiber optics, and connected through the physical wire - not wifi).

Windows 10, Attempted in administrator mode.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing the software. No dice.

Any ideas? I saw there was a wifi option for self-updating. Does this update firmware and defender database access?

UPDATE - Tried plugging the detector back into the car, and now the detector won't power up.

Yes it can both Merge Defenders Database and Update Software by wifi but you must first initialize that wifi connection using a smartphone. That will not of course help if it will not power up. Did you try pressing the power button and be sure it is not in dark mode on the display?

You may have to send it for service.

Good questions, and yes, I did try the power button and check if it's in dark mode.

Literally just bought this yesterday. If even attempting to update it is at risk at bricking it, I may look into a different product.

Did that today. I updated the firmware through a wifi connection this time. No issues. Not touching that update software again, ever.

How do I disconnect the 360c from a saved wifi connection?

How do I verify that my escort live subscription is working? I registered the device online, and I've gone into the app. It says I have a subscription till date X, but says to upgrade to a full subscription for full features and I have an option to buy a subscription. I'd think that wouldn't show if I had a subscription.

Do I need to have the Escort LIVE app running for the radar to pull live alerts, or is just having it bluetooth connected enough for it to pull data. Curious if I have to open the app every time I go somewhere, or if it pulls info passively. If the app DOES have to be open, does it need to be focused, or can it be in the background on?

Is your Escort LIVE subscription tied to a very specific device that you registered, or does it just confirm that a device you've registered comes with a subscription and activates the subscription for 3 months and there's no correlation to your device beyond that point?

You cannot delete its saved Wi-Fi network, only connect it to another.

As long as it says your subscription is valid through a date in the future, then you are logged in correctly to your premium account. The next app update will resolve the buy buttons always being there.

If you donot have mobile Wi-Fi then you will need to use bluetooth and have Escort Live running for your detector to receive speed limit data and Live alerts. If using Wi-Fi then you do not need to use the Live app.

On many Android phones, you will need to run the app in the foreground. On all iPhones, the app can be in the background all the time.

3 months is the time period for the Defender database subscription that is included with your detector. That is for camera database updates (through Detector Tools Pro or via Wi-Fi). These updates typically happen weekly.

You get a lifetime subscription to Escort Live with the detector.
