While driving through FL with the IQ's GPS screen on a scale greater than 2 miles, I have been having a green plague creep across the screen. It can't be reproduced, but I think it has to do with a high scale and a green area appearing on the top of the screen. This green is a park that doesn't cover the whole screen. The effect is that the green area continues horizontally all the way across the screen. As I continue, the green tracks down the screen where only the route and the arrow remain. Sometimes if I decrease the scale, it goes away at the new scale only to come back if I return. Sometimes the display freezes.
Has anyone had the same experiences? |

I haven't heard of this before. Can you give me a specific area that this happens in (road and city/state or zip) so that we can attempt to reproduce the issue?
Thank you for your feedback

I was en-route from Big Pine Key FL to Sebastian FL. I can't recall the exact locations but I believe it started around Miami. Keep the map greater or equal 4 miles.

This isn't a common issue with the iQ. It sounds like your touchscreen may be intermittently defective or it has a bad connection.

Thanks. Sorry to be slow in responding, I thought the forum would e-mail me. I have a few more issues but I have a trip coming up so I'll deferr this until we return.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, Escort... But I have seen this problem as well on the IQ, and It was while I was driving around in Florida. Can't recall exactly where.
The problem starts off as a small patch of green occluding the map, then the green gradually grows and no matter how far I zoom in or out, it stays. It will eventually cover the entire US. I have to restart the IQ to clear it up. |

And to be more specific, the green occludes the MAP ONLY. The touch screen buttons, and the rest of the GUI continue to function fine.
