Default Swapping data bases?

I'm interested in the IQ however there is a big item that I need to know and that is if the databases can be swapped out.

I travel regularly between the US and Europe and I would like to be able to use a single unit on both continents as necessary. Can the data base be changed easily?

Also, does anyone have any first hand knowledge as to how well it works in Europe (differing bands, laser, etc.)?

Thanks!

I dont believe the database from US/Europe are interchangeable with each other. But i believe someone was able to do it on a STi-R Plus?

There is a more fundamental issue with the IQ in that there are no European maps available for the IQ.

I'm sorry but there is currently no European maps available for the Passport iQ. The European Defender database is also not currently compatible with the Passport iQ.

A few days ago, I've seen a nag screen on my iQ telling my maps were outdated.
That's funny because I thought to myself "I've no maps ! it's ridiculous " (or at least I can not use those installed because another continent)
