Default Overspeed not working

All - Original Max. Overspeed recently stopped working. And yes, I want it to work, I have a teen driver that has inherited my right foot.

I've tried:

1) turning it on/off on the Max.
2) turning it on/off on EL.
3) adjusting the speed on the Max.
4) adjusting the speed on EL.

I have a proper GPS signal, everything else is working as it should. On occasion it WILL notify me of an overspeed, but very rarely.

Any suggestions? Searched, but most overspeed threads were about turning it OFF.

Best, Jamie

Did you adjust the Overspeed Warning setting in Escort Live's App Settings? This is the overspeed setting which is set to the speed limit.

Yes, I altered the overspeed configuration in the app. However, the driver of this detector doesnít use the app (nor do I want him to, itís my teen son).

I would think that even without the app running, I could set the overspeed limit on the Max, by going through its menu.

The overspeed warning in App Settings is to adjust the overspeed for the speed limit when using Escort Live.

The overspeed warning in the detector is to adjust the overspeed warning for your current speed when not using the app. This is adjusted in the detector's preferences menu.

What exactly is not happening? Does the current speed background turn red when you travel over the set overspeed?

There is a brief time out period after you get the voice announcement where it will not announce it again. This is to eliminate it from continually announcing when traveling near the set overspeed.

I'll test again, and won't incorporate Live into at all.

Last week, when manipulating Overspeed via the RD, I couldn't get it to sound. I turned off, back on, and changed between 70 and 75. Keeping my speed at 85 and I never heard a peep. All other voice commands and functions working properly.

I'll test it again this weekend.

Jamienbaker, perhaps this sticky note will help to clarify things.
