Man, currently sold model or not, I sure hope there’s more updates planned for the Redline EX. I barely even had this unit for little over 3 years. Thats BS if firmware update support stopped for this unit just because of a new one. My original 360 was bought over 4 years ago and matter of fact, I still need to download that latest update to it that they just came out with several weeks ago.

I own a RedLine EX so I hope I'm wrong, IMO one more firmware update, if there is anything to fix/add/improve, like K notch and JTK, would be a pleasant surprise.

I don't recall Escort ever selling more than one model of the RedLine at the same time on their website.
Can K-notch be added to an analog detector? Don't misunderstand me, but is K-notch even possible on an analog detector? Just asking.

Yes it could certainly be added. K notch just adds aggresive filtering to a tiny section of the K SW, so as to help eliminate false alerts from Hondas (and possibly others)

It could be added, but it doesn't seem too likely that much more focus will be placed on the Redline EX , but would be nice if it could get updates too. We will see.

I will add that since the processing power is obviously slower, adding more features could have results that you wouldn't want like slowing down the unit etc. So though it could in theory be added I think,

the negatives could out weight the benefit. But that would all depend on what kind of extra processing needed to do it, and that woudl be a question for EscortRadar, or Jsherbondy.

+1 Corneileous + Ad Infinitum for that matter....

Cheers Flylow7f39 for your good feedback. I didn't even notice the RLEX was dropped from the current online offerings. Using wayback machine, I see it came off around mid July, shortly after the RL360c was released in June.

I intended on keeping the RLEX in my inventory, not just for the wife's car, but to use with my pending future international travels. I've got family on two separate continents other than NA. I have used the RLEX abroad successfully while I was living / working for NATO in Belgium for example.

Yes, I realize there are hardware differences between the two (RLEX NA / RLEX INT), but detection wise they are the same, with the Gatso, Strelka bands... (I actually have family in St Petersburg RU, and have / will travel there again)

I think Corneileous brings up the strongest point yet, since this product is still so new to the inventory overall, and regardless of it not being sold anymore, does not mean they should turn off future support, for at least a few years I reckon, and especially when other older detectors are still receiving updates.
