Default How does LIDAR show up as a alert on 360c? As a Ka band??

So the local PD on Oahu use the following devices to do their thing. Escort sales says the 360c will detect it, but I was wondering how it shows up as a alert on the radar...are they all going to pop up as a Ka band?

Stalker XLR (LIDAR)
Stalker DSR
Stalker ii (moving radar)
LTI Ultralyte
LTI TruSpeed

You have listed both radar and laser guns. Radar will alert with a specific tone and tell you what band it is. What you need to be most concerned about are the laser guns, they are very lethal and function much different then radar. A laser alert as its own tone. You need to do some research on laser detection. 9 times out of 10 when you get a laser alert your already toast. By the nature of laser a detector alone will not protect you. The beam is so narrow many times if the officer aims low you will not even get an alert. Laser shifters are the only thing that works.

Radar will show up at either X, K, or Ka band and Lidar (laser) will show up as Laser on your Radar Detector.

Your detector may or may not alert to laser as it is a very very narrow beam, nothing like radar (think laser pointer). The overwhelming amount of times your unit will not register a laser hit, unless they are sloppy with their aim or very very very far away.

Typically a hit with laser is refereed to as a 'ticket notification' as they already have your speed when it alerts.

Are there rare instances where you might catch scatter from vehicles in front of you, yes, but not very common. If you want protection against Laser you have to get the Escort products for that.

i have a couple times when Waze said police reported ahead.
when i pass the cop like at like 72-75mph, i got a laser alert.
i'm not sure if that's a false alert or the cop is aiming at me.

I would say he's shooting you in the back after you pass by based on what you said.
