Default Max 360 KA band false alerts

Bought it in May 2019 and everything has been great. A few weeks ago I began receiving constant false KA band alerts (like every few minutes), all indicating rear alerts. In my experience with past escorts it's extremely unusual to get false KA alerts. Any ideas?

Assuming your still using it in the same vehicle, did you change cell phones by any chance? If so try it with your phone turned off or better yet out of the vehicle.

If not, did you recently update firmware? If no, you may have to send it in for service.

Need more info - what is the frequency it's showing? I've recently been getting a Ka 35.8 so I know my 360 may need service as that's not a legit Ka frequency

Thank you for the responses. Same vehicle, same phone. It happens whether or not the phone is turned on. It's become a little less constant but still occurs. Haven't updated firmware. I did contact support and was told they've received a few of these reports very recently and they have not been able to fix it when brought in for service. He said they believe it may be a software issue and they're working on a fix.

Haven't checked the frequency but I'll take a look next time and see.

I'm also getting Ka alerts, in my garage without the vehicle on (in accessory mode) i get 35.811. Driving in town i've gotten sporadic Ka false alerts, always shows in front of me with 1 bar signal strength, then goes away, a few miles later it pops up again and goes away. Strength never gets stronger or change direction as i approach it as I'd expect if it were a stationary signal.

Then these alerts show up in EscortLive, as I drive back through that area a few mins later it pops up on my 360 from EscortLive saying "KA Band Alert" with a red warning symbol. These were in the 36 frequency range.

What could be causing this? Phrased another way, what "noise" could show up in the Ka frequency range that could trigger these alerts besides police radar? The radar detector could be picking up a signal, the question is what could be emitting the frequencies picked up by the 360 in the Ka band if not police radar?

Newer vehicles with laser guided cruise control and/or collision warning systems set our detectors off in this range. Also, Satellite dishes, PoE Routers, Weather Stations, even cattle tracking devices in rural areas all give off Ka signal in this range. While annoying, it's not cause for service.

In Arizona I have noticed that stationary speed warning devices will cause my Max 360 to get a KA signal. these are not speed cameras, just a stationary device that tell you how fast you are doing and what the current speed is.

Default False Rear Ka

I am also now experiencing multiple false read Ka alerts started 4 weeks ago.
Same vehicle (Ford F150) I do allot of driving from town to town on country roads to customers homes. No vehicles for miles. Have had the same phone for years. and even alerts when it is off (so NO on the phone theory).

I have updated the firmware with no Improvement.

ESCORT Is this something you can fix permanently if I send it in? if not I will switch brands. Not one from Cedar Electronics

Of course you try to call customer services and they wont even let you in the call que. just to call back in a few weeks. Frustrating.

What time of the day have you been calling?

I've been telling people to call Escort Radar customer service right after they open at 1-800-543-1608, option 2, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri. Wait for the pause following the message and using the option for a call back.

From what I understand Escort recently added more customer service reps. Training new guys during pandemic restrictions is probably a bit of a challenge. As far as I know Escort customer service reps are still working remotely from their homes.

2020, the year that just keeps on giving...
