Default GPS Inop after update

After updating my 9500ix last June the GPS returns an error. So I have to listen to myriad false alarms everywhere I normally drive. I have tried no less than 50 times to get a customer service agent on the line and each time the phone message tells me that the phone queue is full and that I should try back later.

Now...would you believe this: Just now I was able to join the phone queue after months of failed attempts and when I entered the queue I was advised that my queue position was "15"!!!! Would you believe that after months of excuses and promises, they still can only handle a queue of 15 calls!!?? They must have only one person operating the phones. Shameful. I will let you know if they actually fix the problem.

They answered. The agent was nice and apologetic and gave me the information needed to send in the unit.

For future searchers.

Appears calling Escort Radar customer service a call right after they open at 1-800-543-1608, option 2, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri. Then wait for the pause following the message and using the option for a call back is still the best way to get through.

From what I understand Escort recently added more customer service reps. Training new guys during pandemic restrictions is probably a bit of a challenge. As far as I know Escort customer service reps are still working remotely from their homes.

2020, the year that just keeps on giving...
