Default Solo Series Needs The IVT Filter

I still think the Solo series of detectors are viable. The range may not be the same as the higher end units, but I have used one on a highway, and on the straights have gotten a mile of detection on Ka and K. In the city, I get about a half mile detection in the L.A. area, so it is not a slouch.

After updating my Max detectors with the new IVT filter, they perform so good rejecting falses, you would think they're defective being so quiet. The solo series should benefit from the IVT filter as well.

I think there is still a market for a cordless detector. Your new IVT filter is the ticket to blow away the competition. The Solo does not have to be the range king, but a solid performer against the junk signals out there. IMHO.

You are correct but the SOLO is limited in what it can do because it uses batteries. I have had my SOLO 3 for a while my wife loves it. I have just added a feature that I think is really good.
Escort & Cobra are now on company. Cobra has just come out with a dash cam that connects to Escort Live & I Rad data base using a cell phone. I now can use my SOLO 3 and have live updates & a dash cam all at the same time. NOT BAD! The Cam is about $160 and very easy to set up. Also try running you SOLO with the K & X bands off.

We have no intention on giving up on the Solo series. There will be more Solo detectors. Despite not being popular online, Solo has always been one of our most popular detector models. Unfortunately the current Solo series (S3 and S4) will not receive an IVT Filter update. The hardware cannot support it.
