Default Database Subscription Questions

I had renewed my subscription back in January for a year so it should be good through Jan 2020. The detector has died and I bought and registered a new Max360 yesterday (May 12). I don't see it listed anywhere in the new detector paperwork so I wonder if I get a new subscription with the new detector. I'm curious how long I'll be able to update the database before I have to buy a new subscription.

My understanding is the remainder of your Defender subscription can be transferred to your new detector by calling Escort customer service at 1-800-543-1608, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri. Be sure to have the serial numbers of both your old detector and new detector on hand. New detectors come with a 90 day Defender database subscription.

As indicated above, you should call to ask.
I was able to transfer a recently renewed subscription from and RD that I traded in to Escort to the new RD (which came with a 90 free day subscription of its own). I don't know about non-trade-in transfers, but one thing is for sure, if you don't call to ask, it definitely won't happen.

Good deal !!!!! Called 800 service number and talked to David. He added the new detector and even added on the 3 month free subscription that comes with a new unit. I'm quite pleased with the rapid phone response and the helpful tech. All is well.
