Default Laser false alerts

I bought a new Escort IX to install into my new 2018 BMW M3 in April 2018 and had the same Laser false alerts issue. The professional install place I had hard-wire it into the ignition switch called Escort Support and was told that the new M3 has a laser-based collision avoidance system, which the Escort IX is unable to filter out. I confirmed that it was not the unit itself, as I powered it up in a different (older) car, with no Laser alerts. I was told in May by Escort Support that a software update is needed to fix the Laser false alerts due to the BMW laser emitter. I have not seen anything from Escort yet to fix this problem.

Have you tried mounting it in different places on the windshield? I donít know if that would make any difference I havenít experienced that issue. At worst you may just turn off laser it really doesnít do much except notify you when itís too late...
