Default 9500ci Not Detecting Receiver

Started having receiver issues a few months back, it started out with receiver error, and then degraded to a check receiver wiring error message.

So I ordered a new head from escort, it just came in today. Plugged it in, did a fresh update to it, USB 2.0 and ran as administrator. Was driving out by a speed sign not 5 minutes later and didnt hear a peep.

Also didn't hear the three beeps as it started up, only pop and laser on the startup test. Just wondering if there are any clues as to what is going on. It's installed on a 2007 S65 AMG

Update: it's working?

Drove by the same sign once again... And it seems to work! So hey! That's good! Mods, feel free to close this thread!

It should learn that speed sign and ignore it. If it does then the GPS satellite icon on the 9500ci's display will spin.

Also, this radar source may use a modulated signal which the detector will try to ignore. I see this regularly with certain "your speed is __" signs.

Default Issues once again

Okay, thought it was working, as it started going off regularly as expected. However, just drove back today, and started getting a check receiver wiring issue just as I had before. Still not getting the extra self test beep at start up like i did when it all worked, long before i started having issues with the original receiver. Receiver wiring should still be good to go. Any ideas?

I am sorry to hear this. The receiver will need to be serviced. To set this up please contact your installer or our customer service department at the number in my signature below.
