Default results on Ex

Hello people i have finally got the nerve to open my ex from hearing so many negatives responses. Serial # 189 same batch as y'all i guess but there is an issue with the magnet error. Other than that my drive with the EX was quiet a little to quiet until i heard k band red light cams etc. Question does the EX show you an arrow where the red light cams etc are located direction wise like the IX shows and when i change the color light setting from red to blue only three button on the left hand side light up and not blue either but the other colors all light the buttons same color fully on both sides meaning up volume down mute etc. Also will an update fix the magnet falsifying or do i have a faulty detector that has to go back. oh one more thing to change the led light detection colors different color alert is that what the band is for because it gives the option off on and band to select from my EX thank you any or everyone. PS i like the EX its a solid feel good in hand piece of hardware that lets you feel its not a cheap piece of equipment to take lightly.

Not sure because I don't have Redlight cameras in my area. I am thinking it does show arrows though on those.

If by "magnet error" you mean it alerting to Ka when you remove the detector from the windshield mount, then yes we will fix that if you like. It will require sending it in. Please be aware that this has absolutely no impact on performance.

Alert Lamp, select band mode for color-coded alerts.
X = green, K = blue, Ka/Laser = red

i've spoke to an escort rep and he said the fix was a firmware update. I have another issue with my detector as well so im sending mines in for replacement. Escort reps are very much informed and very professionally and have nice manners that is always a pleasure to speak with

The fix for alerting when removing the magnetic mount is not firmware, it is done by adding a metal shield. It will be a couple weeks before this is available.
