Default Can't Activate Escort Live with my 9500ix Platinum

I'm having the same issue, bought a 9500ix Platinum today, filled out registration and when doing so it didn't ask for a password just these:

First Name
Last Name
Address 1
Address 2
Address 3
City
Country
Postal Code (ZIP)
Serial Number
Email
I keep getting the "invalid user-agent" error. in app when trying to register in the app

Enter the serial number from the SmartCord Live cord and the password field should appear. That is what needs to be registered to activate your Escort Live premium account.

Oregonfxstc, let me get more information from you.

You own a 9500ix Platinum and it included the "SmartCord Live" cable, is that correct? I'm guessing that you bought this @ Costco?

The "SmartCord Live" cable (aka "Escort Live SmartCord" contains a bluetooth chip that lets your smartphone communicate with it, and in turn, it talks with the detector.

Have you to registered both it and your detector at the product restoration page. You'll register the 9500ix first, and then register the EL SmartCord.

Then, follow the instructions on the quickstart guide to pair your smartphone with the SmartCord Live cable.

I'll bet that this will solve the issue. When you register the cord, you'll create a username and password for your Escort Live account. Be sure to write the credentials down, in case you forget them. When you have paired the cord with your smartphone and you launch the EL app, you'll use those credentials to sign in it.
