The update should take longer than a few seconds. Try updating it again.

This begs the question: if there is another firmware revision for the MAX 360, should we use the Update Software button on the MAIN page or the Update All button on the ADVANCED page? I'm asking because I would be using the original Detector Tools to perform the update.

Because you stated the previous update only took a couple seconds (which is unusually short), I advise doing an "Update All" this time to force the software to update everything.

Just to clarify:

ThomThom's question was whether to use the green Main "Update" button or the Advanced "Update All". He indicated that he went ahead and used his current version of DT (as opposed to DT Pro) which had worked fine previously, and that he did use the Advanced Update All. He also reported that it took him more than my RD's few seconds, and that he sucessfully got all 4 separate updates.

I (Poolmon) indicated that I had tried using the green Main Update button with DT which took only a few seconds, and that it definitely did not work correctly for me. My RD reported it was updated when in fact it was not. I had to go back and use the Advanced Update All, just as he did from the beginning.

He was just asking which was the proper one to use, Update or Update All from the beginning (and presumably for any future releases).

Strange, since this is an Escort forum supposedly to help their customers, but it doesn't look like we are going to get an answer here. I suppose I will have to ask in the "other" forum.

I recommended using the Update All option. Is this not a valid answer to the question you posed?
