Speaking for myself, and knowing the limitations of existing technologies, it's going to be a challenge to balance performance vs size and weight. But every day, new advances bring down the cost, weight and size.

Maybe a few years from now, this might become a reality. I hope so.
Escorts all about "breaking the limits". Lol. I think they'll figure it out if it is in fact something they want to do and see it as a worth while investment in developing it. I know this. A GPS enable Redline would
Be a HUGE hit with our forum communities. But the general public ? Not sure maybe.... I'm just trying to thjnk like the marketing guys.

Sure, we don't say any name, but since other manufacturer was able to do this (better detection and GPS enabled windshield detector), we loyal Escort customers really expect Escort to come up with similar or better product soon.

No other radar detector manufacturer listens more to their customers than Escort does. This is why we are the leading radar detector manufacturer. I cannot discuss potential upcoming products but Escort continually releases new radar detectors. Now is no different.

And saying "GPS features" isn't telling the whole story. The GPS based features in Escort detectors are second to none.

We have been asking for a detector with the performance of Redline and GPS built in for ever. I know you have Max Ci, but it is not a windshield detector that most people want to get. Now that another manufacturer has proved it is doable, it is time for Escort to show that they want to listen to their customer and build a similar (or better) product. I agree that GPS enabled part is limiting in the other radar detectors (no auto lock, less number of locked out locations, no app, etc.), and that is exactly why I have not jumped to get the "other" detector, to give Escort another chance to see if they are going to release anything soon. But I am not sure how much longer your loyal customers are willing to wait before they buy something else and Escort lose their business.

Larry can't say anything about potential upcoming products, no one else that posts here knows anything. And if they did they couldn't say.

My guess is the folks at Escort already know that many would like something similar to a RedLine with GPS. It's been discussed off and on for years in the forum.

IMHO it is probably best to close this thread as it seems to have run it's course.

Other moderators are more than welcome to reopen it if they want to.
