You can turn off "Over Speed Limit" on the RD but no matter what you do, EL will continue to alert "Over Speed Limit" in the app display. Minor app glitch that's been there for a while.

My detector actually gives a voice alert to it. That is what I'm trying to disable.

Note that some have confused the Over Speed alert setting in the detector with the Over Speed Limit Alerts in Live app.

The Over Speed Limit Alert in Escort Live is set through Escort Live's Over Speed Limit Alert setting and is only applied when you are using the Escort Live app. This is not the setting in the app's Radar Settings menu.

The Over Speed Limit alert setting in the detector's settings menu is only applied when using Wi-Fi and not Escort Live.

Over Speed is in the detector's settings menu and in Escort Live's Radar Settings menu and alerts when traveling above a set speed. It apples when not using Wi-Fi or Escort Live or if there is no speed limit data for the road you are on.

...

Over Speed is a feature of your iX Ci. It issues an alert when you reach a certain speed (default is 70 mph). If you are using the Escort Live app with your iX Ci, then it will only alert when there is no speed limit data for the road you are traveling on. From the iX Ci's menu or the Radar Settings menu in Escort Live, you can change the speed where it alerts or turn on Over Speed.

Over Speed Limit is a feature of Escort Live. It issues an alert when you reach a certain speed above the speed limit. If there is no speed limit data, then your Over Speed setting will take effect. You can only change the speed from Escort Live's settings menu.

If you are seeing either of these not hold their setting then let me know which one.

Hope this helps

Over Speed Alert Limit Alert in the app continues to alert in the app even when turned off.

It's the speed limit alert that announces that I'm over the limit or to slow down or whatever it says. It is turned off on the app in 2 places. One is under radar settings and the second is just in the general menu area if I remember correctly. Both are shut off, but the detector still gives a voice alert. I don't think the voice was coming out of my phone.

Does anyone know if the 9500ix model qualifies for the trade in program? It says you get the higher trade in amount if the detector is for sale on the website. They list a 9500ix Platinum but I just have the regular 9500ix. Would that count as being for sale on the site? I am thinking about returning the 360 and getting the 360c.

Also the 360 has a lot of vibration sound from the mount area. Hope the Blend Mount fixes that but I doubt it. I believe the source of the problem is the magnet mount on the unit not being very secure.

+1

This has been an app glitch when paired ONLY to my MAX360 (Serial Number 79 series).

None of my other detectors (RLEX / RL360c) exhibit this behavior.

Every time my iPhone pairs to the device, It resets the "Over Speed Limit" to some random value.
