Getting the live mobile camera alerts on the app now. Most are gone, but it looks like people are marking existing redlight cameras, not realizing they are already in the database but only in a certain direction.

Would you please give me an intersection where you are seeing these and/or post a screenshot?

They were showing up at 176th St and 64th Avenue in Surrey BC as well as the intersection of Cliveden Ave and Chester Road in Delta BC. There is a RL camera at 176th and 64 and it shows up in the correct direction. I'll try and get a screen shot this weekend.

Sorry...I’m sure this has been a question asked already but I can’t seem to find the answer while searching for it. I am getting excessive mobile camera alerts on my 360c while connected to my cars WIFI. I don’t use the app. I also subscribe to the defenders database. I think there is someone around my town that is just marking mobile cameras every time they see security cameras or traffic signal timing cameras. Super annoying to say the least. I have tried to clear all marked locations but I assume that only cleared my marked locations. Is there a way to turn off only the databases live mobile camera alerts completely?? I really don’t want to turn off the other live alerts, so disconnecting from the database is not something I want to do. I see the app has the option to turn off mobile camera alerts, but that doesn’t seem to do anything on the detector. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m about to throw my 360c out the window!! Also, hitting the mark button twice while receiving the alerts just marks a police spotted alert and doesn’t remove the mobile camera alert

Thank you for the feedback.

To disable Live alerts, turn off Wi-Fi in the detector's preferences menu. Database alerts are from the detector's internal database, not Wi-Fi. When you want to update the database (database updates are released every Monday), turn Wi-Fi back on. After the database has been updated, turn Wi-Fi off again.

Thank you for your quick response! That did the trick. Looks like I was confusing live alerts with the database alerts. I was about to track down the new user around town with the itchy marking finger Thanks again for your help!

Sorry...one more stupid question. Is it correct to say that with WIFI on the detector turned off, and the detector not connected to the live app through Bluetooth...I will not receive the posted speed limits anymore?? I don’t necessarily care about the posted speed limits as my Tahoe already shows those, but I'm just making sure I understand what the display should be showing now. With all of the searching I’ve done on this forum it sounds like the PSL comes from escort live when connected to phone Bluetooth or car WiFi, and not the GPS signal...but I haven’t read anywhere that flat out says that. I must say though that not receiving all of the mobile camera alerts around town anymore is quite nice Wish we could just turn off which live alerts we don’t want to receive on the detector when connected to cars wifi, but I’ll live

The posted speed limits will only show when you are connected.
The RD itself does not have the PSL stored in its internal memory with one exception. If you approach a speed camera the RD's database does have the PSL for that specific camera location and will display it during its voice alert.
