Well I think he just wants his detector to work.

Perhaps KA is turned off for some reason.

I wonder if he's checked that? I also wonder if the KA sign is really a KA sign.

How do you know it's a KA sign? From your X50? use your x50 and see if it's still alerting?

Escort will make it right. If its under 30 days they will give your money back. But don't tell us, tell Escort. ;-)

What are you talking about? We do not charge for repairing a product that is covered under warranty or replacing one that was purchased from us and is within its return period. Although never mentioned here, we update our camera database weekly with the latest camera location information and our newest StickyCup mount is rated very highly.
I said worst comes to worse... meaning no warranty the camera database... We have been arguing over it for what 5 years now? Something like that? IT IS BASED ON DOT PLANNING! NOT WHAT IS INSTALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I even drove around and google earth mapped for you guys several times, and I still get at minimum false alerts on ghost traffic cams PER DAY!

EASY EXAMPLE: THERE ARE NO, NONE, ZERO, NADDA, ZIP... CAMERAS INSTALLED ANYWHERE ON INTERSTATE I-49! THERE ARE AT LEAST 10-12 FALSE ALERTS WITHIN A 5 MILE STRETCH WHICH I DRIVE EVERY DAY!

I'll take you for a drive if you have time. I own my own business, I am free 24/7 to take a ride Write it off on taxes as R & D at 100MPH

cheers,
disco

If you are referring to the I-49 in Arkansas then I can do you one better. Our database has no cameras in the entire state of Arkansas. NONE, ZERO, NADDA, ZIP...

I'm not sure who you google mapped for, but it wasn't us.

If you are getting camera alerts then you either marked them or your detector has corrupted data on it and it needs its database cleared. Instructions to do this are in the manual, pg 13

Also very disappointed in Escort. Called CS today with a question on an older model (Passport SRX). I was told that they couldnt even answer my question because it was too old for them to be able to answer ( about 8 years old). What terrific customer service!!!!!!

If you took a car of any make with a carburetor to the dealer for repair they will probably turn you away. 90+% of car dealers no longer have a qualified mechanic that knows how to fix it. Kinda like taking a flip phone in to Verizon and getting mad when they can't fix it.

I did a 10 second google search and found this.

If this unit is no longer serviced or supported like a car with a carburetor what do you want Escort to do for you over the phone? If you need parts try E-Bay. If it's broke then I would sell it on E-Bay.

Posts like this tend to delegitimize other posts on this forum that concern actual problems. Before you post a thread that assumes Escort is at fault it's best to troubleshoot and see if others can help with the problem, especially when just starting out.
So true. Why do people needing/looking for help sometimes blame others before listening to suggestions from those who KNOW.

I don't get it.

I have never heard of that model so it must be pretty old. Time for an upgrade man.
