Default Max Ci 360 display not updating (freezes)

I've noticed in the last couple times I've used my car that there was something "odd" with the information in the display. First, I noticed speed was way off, but in reality is was simply that the display was not "refreshing" or updating fast enough. There seems to be some kind of delay between what shows in the display and what is really going on.

One way I've used to replicate the problem is to go into the Escort app and change the color settings for the display. Some times it will change color intermediately, some times it will take like 30 seconds to one minute.

Is this a known problem? do I have a defective unit? this started happening recently, when the escort was installed speed shown in the display updated instantly, in real time, every time, now its always off... at first it seemed to be a GPS update/refresh problem but when I tried changing the color settings for the display and noticed even that was delayed I realized the issue is probably more serious

I have not seen this issue before. Please have your installer check on it.

If you drive a newer vehicle with auto start/stop functionality, I've been told more than once that goofiness like this can be caused by that circuitry -- whether or not the function is enabled.

The solution there is to install a voltage stabilizer inline.

I've seen some weird stuff a little like yours which was helped with this.

If not, I have no idea.

Hi Veri, although vehicle does not have start/stop funcionality (its a 488 Spider) I've seen voltage indicator fluctuate heavily. I've also experienced unit reboots every now and then so it is possible that there is a voltage issue.

Already contacted installer and they'll be looking into it.

thanks again!
