Default Posted speed limit doesn't show when connected to WiFi

My Max 360C arrived yesterday. I used my android phone to create an Escort Live account and connected to the detector using bluetooth to set it up. The detector will successfully connect to the WiFi in my vehicle, and I can update the database over wifi (which proves the connection is good). However, the speed limit just shows "- -" with a white background when the detector is connected to WiFi. If I connect it to bluetooth, the speed limit shows up fine (with a blue background).

I called support and they are stumped. He is asking the developers if they have any ideas, but I am not hopeful.

Is it possible that my detector serial number is somehow not tied to my Escort Live account? Is there any way to prove that it is/isn't? I had to manually register the detector on the website, because using the Escort Live app to register it did not register it (even though it didn't give me an error). Once I manually registered the detector on the web site, the next time I powered it on it asked me if I wanted to update the database (and it did successfully update).

Are the defender database and escort live "accounts" separate? Is it possible that the detector is associated with my account for the defender database, but not escort live? Logically, it seems like the detector doesn't think it has an escort live subscription when it's connected over WiFi (because it isn't logged in to the app on my phone).

This is a mirror image error to what I'm experiencing. From registration on. This is exactly what I'm experiencing. Please read my "auto power" post right below this. Read it from start to finish. They don't have a cure yet.

Curious: try your "auto power off" function for me if you can please. Set it for 1 hour. Does yours shut off?

Your AutoPower issue is GPS related.

I've tried to send the SN as a PM twice, but it doesn't show up in my sent folder. I don't believe the message is actually sending. Do you have an email address that I can send it to? Thanks!

i can recreate the AutoPower issue you are reporting by placing my MAX 360c under my vehicle's console which is severely blocking its GPS reception. Currently GPS is required for AutoPower to function. We are looking into this and may be able to restore its functionality even without a GPS signal present.
