Default Which States use K Band?

Does anyone know which states in the USA use K Band for Police Radar or could verify if there State uses it for Enforcement? I think New Hampshire and maybe Vermont uses it. I just would like to know which States I need to have K Band working since I have it turned off because of all the speed signs and warning signs that they use it on around home. I just dont want to get tagged while riding in another state.

Default Thanks

I have to say I have NEVER seen K band used in NJ for Police Radar and very rarely used in other states but I guess its out there. I have seen local police use it in New England

I live in South Eastern Massachusetts and it's close to a 50/50 mix of K and Ka. Some of the local police departments have both.

There used to be a site someone posted here before that lists almost all the state, county, cities and what bands were used. Anybody still have it?

To the best of my knowledge that site is under re-construction and is currently unavailable. I (and perhaps others) posted it here once, a long time back.

I believe K band is still in use by at least one department in every state. Several towns in Central and Southern NJ still use K band, and I've seen it in the past year in NJ, PA, NY, VT, NH, and ME. I've also see K band from marked LEOs in the 24.20x GHz range in NY, VT, and NJ, so running K Narrow may be risky in these places.

Some departments even have added new, low-powered, linearly-polarized K band units to their arsenals in recent years (eg Stalker Patrol and Kustom Raptor RP-1). So don't expect K band to disappear anytime soon!

Please be aware that there is no definitive resource for what type of radar/laser guns police use in a given area. I suggest not relying on resources claiming otherwise.
