Default afternoon everyone, question for you

my detector stopped updating for me. i went to the web site, it shows a bunch of installed detectors, but not my IXc. so i thought to myself, could it be that i didn't register the detector. i went to register it, and as i put in the serial number, it says that it is registered, but doesn't show it. i checked to see if i had a 3 year subscription to the defender data base, and it shows i do. i tried calling customer support, and i was on the phone forever with no help. can someone help me with this problem. why doesn't my detector show that i don't have it, but the serial number is registered. thanks for any help

I have the exact same issue. Best I can figure is that perhaps escort live registered it automatically? I am going to try to contact service as well I will let you know what I find if anything...

Serial number/registration issues are handled over the phone. Some have had the best luck by calling them the first thing in the morning, right when they open. Not possible for everyone. Escort Radar customer service is available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608.

Pairing a detector with Escort Live registers it.

Firmware updates do not require registering or an active Defender subscription.

Are you saying the update starts and does not complete? Could you specify the issue more?

i forgot that i posted this, thanks for getting back to me. i just got off the phone with escort. i spoke to a very nice lady, she checked, and it showed that my database was registered to a detector with a different serial number that what i have. the detector registered was missing a 3 at the end of the number. i remember putting the SN in that day, and it would not allow me to put the 3 in. it was like i entered all the numbers it would take. so she now added the SN with the 3 at the end, and my database is good till 2022. thanks again everyone
