I currently live in Texas but all my family lives in the Joliet, Shorewood, Channahon, Lockport, Plainfield, Naperville areas. I go out there at least twice a year for two weeks at a time.
I used to travel from Plainfield to the city for work back when I lived there. My sister travels it regularly but she does not use a radar detector. When I come home again (usually June and December) I will probably assist in providing alerts for that area.

Just purchased today! Will be actively reporting along I-55/I-88 and throughout most of DuPage county on a regular basis, with trips to/from downtown as well!

Just wanted to post a quick update, as I've been away from these forums for awhile; Although my experience with live in the Chicagoland area is somewhat quiet, I am very happy to see reports from other users (maybe just one other user) in the Naperville area.
So, whoever you are, if you're even on this forum, thank you for using live, your reports help me out! I hope mine do the same for you.

Kind of late..but I just found this thread. I am in the Palatine / Arlington Heights / Hoffman Estates area if anyone is interested. I am just south of Lake County by a mile or so. I live in Northern Cook.

There is also yet unidentified Unmarked Dark colored cars in Illinois that use X Band. I can not pinpoint who there are because I have seen them in many places. License Plates look normal no affiliation to read. They are found in different counties so I am thinking state but not sure. How about some one gets busted speeding so we know who the are. LOL
