I just got a 360C after being disappointed with a 360. So far I think it’s going to be better.
In initial setup I notice no setting for K notch. Maybe after an update it will appear? It is in the update process now which is taking probably close to 2 hours. Hope this is a one time thing. I am connected to home WiFi with good signal. Also in the band settings I have K and KA on. Do I need to worry about the band segmenting settings being either on or off or does the band itself being on override those specific settings? |

You can leave K & Ka on. No segmentation is necessary or recommended on the 360c. |

Just to confirm if I have K and KA on I can turn off all of the other segmentation settings? |

I wanted to ask is there any benefit to running the 360C connected to WiFi instead of BT other than for software updates? For normal day to day driving Escort Live is the same either way right?

Yes, Escort Live would be the same either way, but I don't see it as an either/or. The 360c can use WiFi to update both the Firmware version and the Defender database. Those operations can also be performed using DT Pro.
Bluetooth is used to connect the detector to the Escort Live app for either settings changes, or actual use of the app during driving (I don't use EL other than for settings changes). I don't have a connected vehicle, but I have the 360c connected to my home WiFi. I will get an alert when leaving the house, or arriving if there is a database update available (usually on Mondays). I have the option of updating without having to disconnect the detector and bringing it in the house to connect to the computer. The notification will be either DB, or SW. DB updates are pretty quick and I always perform them over WiFi. If it's a software/firmware update, It may take a lot longer and you may wish to do it via DTP. You're welcome! I had the 360 as well and I also prefer the 360c. I had almost forgotten about the mount upgrade. Definitely a major improvement! The 360 was also a tank and I'm very happy with the smaller, sleeker footprint and looks of the 360c. When it first came out, It was also touted to have further range than the 360. I'm not a total speed demon, and in my area they use K band almost exclusively, so range has never been a problem. I've been saved numerous times with this unit.
Regarding the LED/screen illumination, I've read complaints of dimness with the RL360c as well. I don't think that I'll be upgrading to that level any time soon, especially since they added the K-notch feature (previously only available with the RL) to the Max 360c. I rarely have a false alert, if ever. Glad to hear that you're enjoying the 360c, I don't think that you'll have any issues with its performance as it's definitely a workhorse! Take care! ![]() |
