If you leave it up all the time it's wise to pop the locking tab and push the cup tight on the windshield again and while pushing lock the tab back up. This will push out any air pocket that develops from the heating and cooling of the windshield over time.

Does it still seem to work?

I was going about 70mph and looked in the rear view mirror and saw it skipping like stone on water. I did pull over and walked to where I last saw it, but there were just pieces. I assume someone ran it over by accident.
I'm out some money. I still have my 9500 IX to fall back on.
Escort was apologetic and sent me a new mount. Weeee...like I'm going to use it? How about a new Radar Detector to use on the mount?

Geez...that's horrible.

They seem to be built strong but at 70 mph, just the bouncing and skipping may have been enough to destroy it. No matter. It's gone and it stinks that you're out more than $600.

Put the doors on the jeep. Especially if you're down to your last detector.

Now that it's hitting over 105 here in Phoenix, I'm having a problem keeping my mount on the windshield with the weight of the Max360.
Every time I get in, I unlatch, press up, and relatch.
I don't leave the RD mounted anywhere I go. I always remove it, but I do leave the mount there.
Is there something I can do to keep this thing on???

At those temps I wouldn't leave the mount or the RD in the windshield. I would consider a blend mount for under the rear view mirror. I know that cost extra but not many things can withstand that much heat, not including the actual car temp inside, for very long.
I leave my mount up all the time but I have a window tint strip on the top of the windshield. The mount is suctioned to that so the RD peaks out just below the tint line. The tint helps block a lot of the damaging UV so I've never had trouble but my max temps in FL might get to high 90's.
