After one day of using it I agree, the sound level is a big problem...
It's too low. I can't have the windows down and listen to music and hear it.
Get one of these:

I loved mine with my 9500ix.

Interesting, I didn't know that was an option.

Thank you for showing me that.
Not sure how much I want to mount that in my Audi though.
I'll have to find a good spot that won't ruin any of the intr panels.

Put it up under the dash, out of sight, anywhere it will fit. It's a very loud speaker so obstructions aren't an issue. I have one inside my center console and still have to turn it way down when I use it

I want one of these . . . Once Escort releases the direct wire Escort Live Smart cord! The month of May is only six days away!

Well, I'm hoping it won't be too far into May before we hear news of a release to the market! Technically, they could release EL direct wire as late as May 31st and still be "compliant" to their commitment. Ouch! Let's hope we don't have to wait that long. The roadtrip season is almost upon us!

Anyway, I think it's pretty cool that Escort RDs have an audio output. My daughter thinks the audio on the 9500ix is too shrill. This should improve the audio performance over the entire audio frequency range delivering much better sounding audio.

I've had my Redline for a year now, and Im loving it. Are there things I would change, sure. My issues are just with quick trigger response to instant-on. I've read oher anything less than .7sec the Redline won't display an alert, or if you have been I/O and it goes on more than a second, it doesn't respond to a second or third response of I/O. Basiclly being a slow with instant on, seems to hesitate or an alert especially with laser goes on more than it needs to. False alarms don't bother me much, I know their going to go off around supermarkets, and mall, and I just hit the mute button. One thing I can say especially using my friends V1, it never falses on Ka band. Everything single alert is legit. K band, I think the Redline blows away everything.
I was curious about the new Spectre Elite thats out. Was curioius how the Redline handled it. Last, and this would be for the Escort Rep, if it would be possible to change the Red LEDs on the Redline, and change them to blue or a different color. Understanding that it would cost me some, and thats fine, but if it would be even possible to do? Great Forum, very informative!

It's good to hear that you are enjoying the RedLine. I'm sorry but we cannot change it's display to blue.

I really wish there was a way. Blue would be perfect in my car.

Maybe in a few more years.

I remember the days I used to buy surface mount LED's on eBay and mod my old Nokia phone. Of course I wouldn't attempt that on my $500 Redline but tempted (I know it'll void warranty etc).

I've had the Redline for a year now. I don't even now how many times I've been saved. Definitely though more alert and driving safer.
