Default iQ not on Escort's website?

I don't see the iQ on Escort's website. Am I overlooking it, or has it been discontinued?

From what I can tell, it's been moved to an out-of-stock status.

What will happen with the MAP updates??

** Shame that its been disco'd because with the right antenna/horn, it could have been a great player in the market, particularly in those states where RDs banned. I ONLY wish I had the acumen to glom an M3 onto it, it could've been a contender **

Ditto.

Perhaps another version of the iQ might come to market in the future. I think that there is a great space for a product like this.

I sincerely doubt it.

I always wanted one but with GPS features that rival the higher end Garmins and with 3 or 4 free map updates per year.

With GPS moving to smartphone apps and many new vehicles having factory GPS built in I suspect that manufacturing products such as the IQ is a money losing proposition. Also those that installed an aftermarket double DIN HU with GPS or replaced their factory HU with a Nexus 7 would probably not even consider a product such as the IQ.

Great idea but not enough of a market to make it a money making proposition. Just my personal opinion.

My OPINION.... The IQ was a great idea that was poorly executed. Great RD, awful GPS, huge, heavy, ugly. I had one and could not wait to trade it in. Good riddance.....

If I came across one that was used but not abused and dirt cheap I'd probably buy it to play with.

Thinking because it is huge and ugly most likely a LEO would have no clue that it is/has a radar detector...
