Question 2007 Toyota Tundra install for ZR4

Anyone have any ideas for the location on the front of a new style Tundra? I can put them in the lower half of the bumper but I think this to low. Should I get them up into the grill above the bumber? I have a billet tube grill over the factory one so some mods will be in play for this to happen. Whats the best location before I fire up the blow torch

I was thinking about getting some of those but will it protect my full size Dodge Ram?

I don't think so. I used to run the ZR4 as my primary jammer on my F-150. Even with Veil, a car bra, and a license plate cover, the setup would yield PTs around 500 ft.

Sorry for the newbie question but whats PT? Also what is known as the best jamer/shifter for a truck of my size?

Thanks for the helps guys. I currently have the Escort 9500ix (had it for week now and love it) and a Z4 Shifter getting delivered Friday. I wont even take it out of the box if it will not help though.

PT stands for punchthrough. Punchthrough is when a lidar gun operator is able to overpower your jammer and get your vehicle's speed. A vehicle without a jammer (depending on size, color, and amount of chrome) will usually yield instant punchthrough.

I personally recommend the Laser Interceptor for your large vehicle. I have one on my truck and I've gotten great results both in testing and in the real world:

You can go ahead and install your ZR4. Where are you located? There are some radar detector enthusiasts who own police laser guns who would be more than happy to test your setup to see how effective it is. From my testing the ZR3/4 though, I have found that they do not do well on highly reflective vehicles such as yours.
