Default Does hardwiring an Escort RD void a BMW electronics warranty?

I used an electronics company in the family of companies that owns my BMW dealer to hardwire a rd in my 2012 BMW X5.

I now want to do the same with my 2015 BMW X5. However, there is more than one post on BMW forums that given certain developments BMW could claim the electronics warranty is voided by doing a hardwire install of any kind. The most recent post is today by an F15 owner wanting to hardwire a Max2.

Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? I thought my dealer cleared me for the 2012 X5 but my SA is not working today.
