This is a known issue, and it has been reported on the forum by others. Ther is presently no work-around for this. The iPhone Pro Max uses exactly the same frequencies and pulse rate as Police Laser.

I've never seen any "abandoned" message. Hazarding a guess, perhaps you are using an old version of Escort Live, and a new version is required.

LIDAR is LASER, and Escort detectors already work with LIDAR. However, if the detector alerts to LASER/LIDAR, it's rarely helpful because the LEO has already recorded your speed.
