Austin / Centra Texas Area

Just wondering if there were any other users in the Austin area? I am just north of Austin and spend most of my time driving in and around the areas just outside Austin - Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, etc.....

I am in DFW, but I drove through Austin Sat/Mon and there were many EL alerts along I-35.

I am in north Austin near Cedar Park and should be joining as soon as I can get the android app working on my phone. Just got my 9500i upgraded to ix and got the smart cord for free :)

Austin and surrounding area

Just started using the 9500ix with Escort Live in SW Austin. First 5 minutes, I got fresh alert and voila, there was Sheriff parked, watching traffic. I really did not expect such an immediate alert.

I am in Austin too! Just getting used with the new IX!

BTW- has anyone seen LEO's with radars on K band?

I am getting way many KA alerts - I guess from the DAS (driver assistance systems)

I lived in Austin for 14 years. I love that city and surrounding area.

Driver Assistance Systems (aka blind-spot monitoring, or collision avoidance systems) don't use Ka. They are typically using K band and sometimes laser.

Anyone in Austin who is interested in running some tests with Escort Live during the weekend?
