Reinstall ZR3

I took my ZR3 out of my old car and putting it in a 08 G37 coupe. There doesnt seem to be anywhere to mount shifters in lower grilles.

Is Height a problem for mounting heads in upper grill and what effect is having both shifters closer to center then equal from center to outside of car??

Also If shifters are pitted from road debris and not clear anymore is that a problem??

If anybody has mounted front shifters on a G37 coupe,, I would be glad to hear how you mounted yours.

Proper mounting is key, mainly be sure they are aimed forward and level on a level vehicle. You want the shifters closest to the primary reflectors which are lights (headlights, foglights, etc) and your front license plate.

Also If shifters are pitted from road debris and not clear anymore is that a problem?? Yes this will effect the return beam from the shifters.

Thx for the response I mounted in grill as far out as possible and as low in upper grille as possible. If I can get a pic on here I will. I will try some plastic polish on shifters

BTW I have an 06 x sedan and I mounted them in BETWEEN the slats of the center/main chrome grill. I just needed a dremel to take out one of the plastic pieces that runs perpendicular to the grill but you it's a clean and easy fix, and you'd never notice one of those pieces were gone. I then mounted the brackets on the metal bumper support. Works awesome since it's not being covered by anything, and it blends in well with the spaces in between the chrome grill so you can't even really see it.

Looks great to me.

Oh, wait a minute, is the passenger side shifter upside down? They have a definite "this side up to them" which is marked on them.

If you can't see it then when looking at the shifters from the side the bubbled out portion of the lense should be on top, the flat on bottom, like a P

A view from behind the grille, Mount for the Shifters,, Figured I would take a pic since I had to go in and flip the one shifter.
